Accra, July 27, GNA - There was a remarkable resurgence during Tuesday's trading on the Accra bourse, which saw the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, going up by 78.5 points from 6,287.71 points to 6,366.21 points.

The Change Year to Date also rose to 14.25 points from 12.84 points.

Traded volume was 1,139,577 shares valued at GH¢535,978.44. SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) led the pack with 737,300 shares valued at GH¢304,234.00; followed by CAL Bank Limited (CAL) with 161,000 shares valued at GH¢40,135.00; while Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) had 149,700 shares valued at GH¢22,455.00 sold and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) had 78,800 shares valued at GH¢124,488.00 changing hands.

Shares of 12 other equities were also sold.

On the broader market, there were eight price changes, five positives and three negatives.

Fan Milk Ghana Limited (FML) and SIC led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.03 each to close trading at GH¢7.38 and GH¢0.42, respectively; GGBL went up by GH¢0.02 to close trading at GH¢1.58 while CAL and ETI appreciated by GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.25 and GH¢0.15, respectively.

Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) lost GH¢0.12 to close trading at GH¢1.48; Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) lost GH¢0.02 to close trading at GH¢0.23 and UT Bank Limited (UTB) lost GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.25.

Market Capitalisation was GH¢18,274.05 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
